In a unanimous vote, the Itasca ISD Board of Trustees officially hired Mrs. Tonya Harris as Superintendent of Itasca ISD during the November 13 Board meeting. Mrs. Harris will officially take on the duties of Superintendent of Schools on Tuesday, November 14.
NOTICE: Parents, Guardians, and Community Members today at 1:15 pm we will be conducting a district-wide lockdown drill with the assistance of law enforcement. Law enforcement vehicles will be on all campuses with lights on during the drill. It is a practice drill.
A reminder from Ms. Martin, Itasca Middle School students will have STAAR Interim Testing next week. Monday 11/13-Math, Tuesday 11/14-Reading, Wednesday 11/15-8th grade Science, 11/16-8th grade Social Studies.

REMINDER: Itasca ISD is hosting our 2023 Veterans Day Assembly on Friday, November 10th starting at 9 a.m. in the Itasca ISD Special Events Center. We look forward to celebrating our Veterans with you!

IHS Interact Club as as well as our Family & Community Services Class is hosting a dry & canned food drive now through the 16th. Products can be dropped off in the main office if needed.
IHS Reminder: Those who signed up for the TSI test and have received a confirmation email from Mrs. Brown need to be here and ready to start their test at 8:30 Monday morning. (check the student's school email for confirmation) Late arrivals may miss this opportunity to test.
A heads-up from Ms. Martin; students should make sure all work is turned in by the end of the school day this Friday. Report Cards go out next Thursday November 9, 2023. Thank you.

Wednesday, December 6, is now an early release day for students. Itasca ISD will be hosting the middle school Academic UIL District Meet. All students across the district will be released at 1:00 p.m.
Monday, April 8, 2024, will be a “bad weather” day for students and staff. Please note this is the same day as the solar eclipse.
Friday, April 26, 2024, will be an “alternate use” day for staff. There will be no school for students on this day.

Tonya J. Harris has been named the lone candidate for Superintendent of Itasca
ISD. This announcement begins the 21-day waiting period required by state law
before a superintendent can sign a contract and begin working for a district.

Baylor's College Night will be on Tuesday, October 24th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
The College Night will be held at The Mark and Paula Hurd Welcome Center on Baylor University’s Campus - 905 S University Parks Dr, Waco, TX 76706
While it is not required for students to pre-register for the fair, if they do, they will have a barcode generated for them to share with college reps instead of filling out contact me cards. They can register by using the link below or by scanning the QR code on the flyer.
Join IHS Interact Club for Trunk or Treat during the Itasca Elementary School's Fall Festival on Wednesday, October 25th. The event starts at 5 pm along with an ESL Parent/Guardian Information night at Itasca Middle School. This is a come and go opportunity from 5-7 pm.

Itasca HS E-Sports is up and running. In recent years E-Sports has grown tremendously and has a lot of opportunities to offer our students. It holds our students accountable academically and allows those who compete the opportunity to win scholarship money and be scouted by colleges for their e-sports teams as well. Attention Class of 2024-Seniors! Monday we will be taking senior photos! We will call all the seniors down to the SEC after the photographers get set up Monday morning! Come dressed in your best! Proofs will be passed out to students in a few weeks for parents/guardians to purchase photos!
