On Monday, our Hill College dual credit Texas Government class had a guest speaker, Mr. Robert (Bob) Locander. He spoke to the class about his book, How Texas Politics Really Works. This is one of the books they are currently using in their class.
He discussed with the students the book, some of the current issues in Texas politics, and the impact of the upcoming election on our state's politics. They had a wonderful and enlightening discussion on Texas government and politics.
It was a great opportunity for our dual credit students to learn more in-depth about our state's politics from a very knowledgeable and longtime professor and author on the workings of Texas politics and government.

In December, the HS National Honor Society had an opportunity to visit the George Bush Library and Museum at SMU. This is always a great trip and a chance for the students to learn about 9-11, the office of the president, and some important moments in our country's history.

Effective Immediately - Itasca High School pickup and drop off is being moved to the North parking located behind the High School. Elementary and Middle School pickup/drop off will not be impacted. This change will remain in effect indefinitely while repairs are made to an underground water leak in our normal bus zone. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
