The Wampus Cats are headed to state! Christian Enriquez finished second at Regionals with a time of 10.85 to secure his trip to the UIL State Track Meet in Austin May 15th.

We are commemorating this week in Itasca to acknowledge the influence that teachers have on kids and to thank all of the Itasca ISD teachers for their commitment, ingenuity, and efforts to create a pleasant learning environment. We appreciate everything you do and acknowledge that your efforts go beyond the classroom!

A time to celebrate the nutrition professionals in our schools.
Itasca ISD would like to acknowledge the dedication and essential role of school nutrition employees, who provide meals that are crucial for student health and well-being.
Between preparing healthy meals for thousands of ASD students every school day, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile, school nutrition professionals are true heroes. They're working hard to ensure that children are well fed and ready for success in the classroom.

At Itasa, we appreciate the district's principals' hard work because we understand how they affect our kids, teachers, and the entire school community.
On this Principal Appreciation Day, please join us in expressing our gratitude to all of our school leaders.

We invite parents, friends, and family to an underclassman vs upperclassman powder puff football game. After the game we will soak the seniors. All proceeds will go to the senior class.

We invite you to join us all day this Saturday, May 2, as the ITASCA ISD transforms downtown Itasca into a CINCO DE MAYO celebration with a vibrant celebration of Mexican culture.

There will be tons of kid-friendly activities, a silent auction, raffles, good food to keep you full, and music to keep you dancing. It's the perfect chance to enjoy the outdoors, catch up with neighbors, and support our Itasca Seniors.

We can't wait to join everyone in celebrating Cinco de Mayo!

Itasca's high school career day connects students with professionals in the field to explore career options, learn about necessary skills, and identify passions. We appreciate every organization that came out to provide engaging workshops. These activities, which often concentrate on STEM, trades, and professional disciplines, aid in bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world employment. ---- This is just a few photos showing the eagerness for what could be next! ---

Itasca ISD and all our partners did a fantastic job planning a day that will never be forgotten. I believe the theme fulfilled its promise of inspiring enthusiasm, and we all felt it—not just the youngsters. Excellent work!

Important High School Drop Off Notice

We will have career fair vendors parking in the lot between the band hall and SEC tomorrow morning. Please drop off High School students in the lot directly in front of the High School office.

Those students who drive themselves will be directed to parking spots near the football field by our maintenance staff and district officers.

📍 2026 Cinco de Mayo Vendor Map Update

We’ve made a few small adjustments to improve spacing and accessibility for everyone:

• Vendors previously placed in front of Old Towne Country Store have been shifted down to keep the storefront clear.
• Vendors near the alleyway have also been moved down to ensure the alley remains open and accessible.
• All vendors (excluding food trucks) will be set up as 10x10 spaces, arranged back-to-back.

We appreciate your patience—there was a slight alignment shift when the original map was created, and we wanted to make sure everything is organized as smoothly as possible.
