Constable Cordell Honored

At the July 12, 2021 Itasca ISD Board Meeting, Hill County Constable Pct. 4 and Itasca ISD Board Trustee Kevin Cordell was honored with a plaque for his efforts in the May 13, 2021 high speed chase and shootout that stretched throughout our county. Constable Cordell was shot during the chase, but has made a tremendous recovery and has wasted no time returning back to his duties serving our county, our students, and his community. The plaque he was presented reads as follows:

In honor and recognition of

Kevin Cordell

Hill County Constable ~ Precinct 4

For your valor and bravery to protect the citizens of Hill County,

the communities of your jurisdiction, and the students and staff of

Itasca ISD during the events which transpired on May 13, 2021.

We are proud to call you one of our own, and truly admire the qualities of character, servant leadership, and love for your fellow man that you stand for. Our community is a better place because of men like you.

Presented by:

In addition, a second identical plaque will be displayed in the Itasca ISD Library to memorialize his efforts for generations to come. Itasca ISD is truly proud to have the protection and service of men like Constable Kevin Cordell.
