Dear Itasca Community,
On behalf of the Itasca Independent School District Board of Trustees and myself, Superintendent Tonya Harris, I extend our sincere gratitude to each and every one of you who participated in the 2025 School Bond Election. Your engagement in this important decisionmaking process is a testament to the strong community spirit that defines Itasca.
We are incredibly proud to announce that this election saw a record-breaking turnout, with an astounding 514 votes cast. This level of participation is truly remarkable and reflects the deep commitment our community has to the future of our children and our schools.
We acknowledge the outcome of the election, with 252 votes cast in favor and 262 votes cast against. We respect the decision of the voters and appreciate the thoughtful consideration given to this important matter.
Regardless of the election's result, we want to emphasize that your voices have been heard. The Itasca ISD Board of Trustees and I are committed to continuing to work diligently to provide the best possible educational opportunities for our students. We will take the time to reflect on the feedback received and explore all available avenues to address the needs of our district.
We deeply value the partnership between the school district and the community. Your involvement, whether through voting, volunteering, or simply supporting our students, is essential to our success.
