Dear Students, Parents, and Community Members,
As many of you watched Governor Abbott's public address today, you learned that schools will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Although this was not the message we were hoping for, we plan to continue providing the same services to our students that we began on day #1 in this new era of COVID-19. Furthermore, we have been informed that we will gain further insight and guidance from the Commissioner of Education next week as to how certain aspects of this continued closure may be directed or recommended to proceed. Please know that we will continue to work very hard to determine how we can best recognize, serve, and show our appreciation for all our students and their families during this unimaginable time. As we continue to receive guidance from the Texas Education Agency and our regional support centers, we will keep you updated on the plans and procedures that began to take shape over the next several weeks.
